HST Wallhanging

I made this quilt from a layer cake and I cannot remember what this line of fabric is called.  This is the quilt I will hang on the wall in my family room.  Nice and bright, huh?  I love how fun it is and it coordinates with the Knotted Squares quilt I made that will also go in the family room.

Modern Simplicity

I found this quilt in a magazine and something struck me about it.  I bought the fabric and made the top but wasn't all that impressed with it.  It has been sitting around for me to decide how to quilt it for months.  When I did my Knotted Squares quilt, I used a new modern design and I wondered if that would help to wake up this somewhat boring quilt.  I like the results.

Added a fun flannel print for the backing to break up some of the "plainness".

Table Topper

Our dining room looked a little bare so I whipped up a cute table topper.  I even hand stitched the binding to the back...something I don't do much of any more.

Knotted Squares

I snuck one of my own quilts into my schedule.  I made this top called Knotted Squares (from the book Modern Basics) several months ago.  I fell in love with these fun, bright prints and had to do something with them.

Close up of the design.  The design fits the fabric!

Another Baby Quilt

This quilt is precious for a little baby girl.  Jill did a great job on it.  I chose the Hearts in Bloom design because of the flowers and the polka dots in the fabric plays into the design.  And, of course, hearts are all about babies!

Jill's "Springy" Quilts

As cold and dreary as our weather has been, at least I have some fun, bright quilts to work on in my quilt room.  These two quilts of Jill's were a lot of fun to do and gave me the attitude lift I needed.

Fun fabrics...

The quilt design is called Twirly Feathers.

The back had its own twirly's in the fabric!

Love this one!

The quilt design is Flower Power.  Definitely one of my new favorites.

Rachel's Log Cabin Quilt

I am getting behind on posting to this blog...I will post three quilts today.

The first one is a traditional log cabin quilt I quilted for Rachel.  This was one of her UFO's that has been around for a few years.  I love how the variety of fabrics work together and the light/dark contrast is still so clear.  I love scrap quilts and quilting this traditional version just brought me back to my quilting roots and memories of my "Granny".

The design is called Tendril.

This setting is called Fields and Furrows.

Disappearing 9-Patch Baby Quilt

It is so fun to be in a position where I get to see and touch and admire...and quilt...other quilter's quilts.  This baby quilt is another fun one with a great selection of fabrics.  Sara has a very artistic view and you just never know what she will put together next!

I tried out a new pantograph design called Swoosh.  I really love the way it gives movement to the quilt and it is not too much quilting to draw your attention away from the top itself.

Such modern fabrics.

Backing...not true color.
